Due to us being in a completely new venue this year, we have decided to add a show venue stage rehearsal.
Ideally we would like ALL performers to attend our venue rehearsal at the Loreburn Hall. If you are in the country, we strongly advise all dancers to make it as a priority although we do understand that in some cases this may not be possible.
This 2 hour rehearsal is drop off only. This means parents are not allowed to stay.
There is a £5 stage rehearsal fee. In order to reduce admin time on this fee collection, we require everyone in attendance to pay at the door in cash on the night of the rehearsal.
Again to reduce admin time, you do not need to tell us in writing ahead of time if your child will be attending or not. We will note a register of attendance on the night as dancers enter.
We will assume that parents understand the importance of this venue rehearsal and will expect full numbers where possible.
We are delighted to have Iona come back to our studios to deliver a Summer Dance Camp to our dancers after completion of her first year at professional dance college. We look forward to having her deliver all her new found knowledge to our dancers for an entire day of dance & activities.
This senior workshop is tailored to our 9-12yrs & teens.

The kids will get a taster session in Street, Jazz and Contemporary dance along with games and activities to break up the day and have lots of fun!
This junior workshop is tailored to our 5-7yrs & 7-9yrs.
DAY 1
On day 1 we are having a Dance & Play Launch Party! This day is spent playing team building exercises, sports day style races, spending time in our playroom and doing some disco like dancing! Loads of fun, loads of games, a good time all round! Please send child with a packed lunch for day 1. Morning snacks and juice provided.
DAY 2
We are providing a magical afternoon for our dancers including a special guest princess, Disney dancing and games as well as an elaborate Afternoon Tea. Each child comes dressed up in their favourite costume or outfit. We will provide a sweet and savoury Afternoon Tea with themed cups, plates and all other tableware to mark the occasion. You do not need to send your child in with anything but please let us know about any dietary requirements upon booking.
DAY 3
This is our Summer Crafts and Movie Day. We work on some fun and creative crafts for the first part of the morning then we watch a film together before lunch. Juice and snack provided during the film. Please send child with a packed lunch to have before going home at 1pm.
Select Performance
Our Selects will be performing at the Youth Beatz Dance Stage on Saturday 29th June at 3:30pm. Make sure to come and watch us perform and of course say hi! We look forward to performing and to seeing you all.
Audition Details

No choreography needs to be prepared prior to audition
You will be contacted via email on Saturday 29th June 1pm with the results of audition

This Summer we will be taking to the stage for an informal sharing to show our families what we have been working on in class. Each class will perform one dance each in their dance uniform.
There will be no kids backstage at this Summer Sharing. The idea is that all of our dancers can watch each other. All dancers will be sat on the floor at the front facing the stage and each child can bring 2 guests to watch as the audience on the seats behind.
We invite the entire school from Pre-school to Teens to be involved in this Summer Sharing. This is an ‘opt out’ event. This means we will assume all dancers will take part in the Summer Sharing unless they tell us otherwise. We look forward to another opportunity to show our families what else we work on throughout the year in addition to our Annual LIVE show at Christmas time.
All dancers who attend will receive a medal for their participation in our sharing. This will be a fantastic event for all dancers and their families and we are really looking forward to putting it together for you all.
There is an entry & participation fee of £15 per child. This fee includes 2 tickets to the event. This fee will automatically be taken on 1st June unless you tell us that your child would not like to participate in our Summer Sharing. Please let us know by Wednesday 29th May in order to avoid the entry & participation fee being collected.
Due to limited space in the venue, we have to limit it to 2 tickets per child. If any tickets are left after these have been allocated, the rest of the tickets will go on sale on Saturday 8th June on our Facebook family group and will be allocated on a first come first served basis via comments on our post which will go live at 8am on Saturday 8th June.

In Step is turning 8
We are celebrating 8 years in business this April!
To celebrate, we are throwing our annual birthday party for our dancers and their families. This is a great social event for our entire In Step family to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon together including a special performance from our Selects.
The party will be held at Crichton Club Bar 1 at the Crichton Golf Club. This is a ticketed event which will include an afternoon buffet, juice for the kids and birthday cake. The bar will also be open. Every person in attendance requires a ticket to go towards our buffet costs.
We will have our photographer who will be running our Photo Booth. You will be able to purchase prints from him to take away on the day!
We will have our face painter there free of charge to our dancers
We encourage absolutely everyone who attends In Step Dance Studios to come to our party including their friends and family! Afterall- we are one big family here at In Step!

OUR 3 DAY CAMP OF EASTER FUN INCLUDES: Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, Easter Games, Easter Dancing, Bouncy Castle, Ball Pit, Movie time.
DRESS CODE: Optional to arrive dressed up Easter themed, or your own bright outfits!
Doors open 8:50am. Snacks provided. Send them with their lunch box for them to have lunch before collection at 1pm.
Our professional photographer will capture beautiful headshots and candid moments from our dancers in a relaxed and fun environment at our studio with music playing and lots of encouragement to get that winner shot! A different spin to the traditional school photo, our content creations day will provide photos which will make a great gift for friends and family. You can pick and order images on the day which will be delivered to the studio in April. Dancers must wear In Step uniform and be well presented with a high & slick ponytail. Group/sibling photos are available on request.
Dancers are needed for one hour.

We invite all dancers who are participating in the show to our studios from 4pm-6pm on Thursday 26th October to run their show dances in the order of the show.
This is a chance for the kids to get a feel for how the show is going to run, see the other dances and spend time with everyone else in the show.
This rehearsal will be held at our studios and is free of charge. You do not need to let us know if you are coming or not. While we encourage you to come, we understand that people go away during the holidays so we will work with who we have got on the day and do not anticipate full numbers.

We do ask that you send small quantities so there isn’t lots of waste.
A special character themed dance class & themed games
We will be exploring different textures at lots of different messy play stations. Parent stay with child. Encourage them to get stuck in!
Dress your little one in clothes you don’t mind getting grubby, or an apron is even better!. We suggest bringing some dry clothes just in case.
